Let Stack with Speed Stacking

Did you remember, when you were a little kid, you used to stack all the plastic cup that come into your view? 

Did you know that what you did back then was actually a sport? 

Yes, stacking is actually a sport and it goes with variety of name that includes Sport Stacking, Speed Stacking and Cup Stacking.



Briefly, Sport Stacking is an indvidual and team sport that involves stacking specialized plastic cups in specifik sequnces in as little time as possible. It has it's own governing body that set the rules of the sport which is World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA).

There are three sequences stacked in official Sport Stacking events that are defined by WSSA themselves: 

3-3-3: Uses 9 cup

3-6-3: Uses 12 cup

Cycle: Uses 12 cup

All the sequences are down in different disciplines which are, individually, doubles and time relay.

The current record holder for 3-3-3 is Chandler Miller with the time of 1.53 and the record was set in 2012. He is #1 in World Ranking for 3-3-3 individual.

Zhewei Wu and William Polly share the same record for 3-6-3 sequence which is 1.96. Zhewei Wu set the record in 2011 while William Polly set in the later year. Both are #1 for 3-6-3 individual sequence.

 William Polly : Individual 3-6-3 ( 25 March 2012)


Currently in #1 for Cycle sequence, William Orrell dominated with the time of 5.68 in 2012.

As for Doubles, Ryan Powell & Timo Reuhl set the record of 6.53 in 2012.

Team Wills and Not Wills that consist of William Polly, Mason Langerderfer, Chandler Miller and William Orrell hold the Timed "3-6-3" Relay world record with the time of 13.43.
